The Lightwork Summer Retreat was at the Lightwork Ecovillage on Gambier Island. The sessions were rich with learning. Each day we had the option to go on an afternoon adventure, discovering things on the land and within ourselves. Simply being on the land, getting frsh air, and eating wholesome and delicious food is a huge support for our bodies. Retreats afford the opportunity to go deeply within, in the company of a supportive community.
Though Lightwork is still on summer break from classes, you will still find us here on Tuesdays for the potluck and Healing Space. Many of us use this time to recharge, both with the healings, as well as simply being in the company of our spiritual community. The energy set of Healing Space is supportive, and just being here can be a healing.
Classes resume on Tuesday September 7 with the Next Step. Remember the Next Step class is part of all Lightwork Levels 4 and above. On Wednesday September 8 Level 4 class resumes, and on Monday September 13 Level 6 starts up again.
There is an Introduction to Meditation class on Monday evening, September 13 at the Lightwork Centre. This is an opportunity to get a sense of the teachings before committing to the series. On Monday, September 20 a new Level 1 series begins and continues each Monday evening until November 8. These classes are 7:45-9:15 and are at the Lightwork Centre. Contact us to register.

Lightwork Productions - the creative wing of Lightwork, is busy as always. Our creative endeavors this month include taking photos for the photojournals, and other uses. Photographs are one way of experiencing a closeness with something you may have otherwise missed. Lightwork Productions uses photography to document as well, so that we can share with the community.

Summer’s warm abundance welcomes Lightwork Ecovillagers to camp on the land! Cozy plots on our 80 acres have been transformed into personal tent sites. These small oases for sanctuary are weekend and summer homes for ecovillagers. They offer respite, shelter, and opportunity to intimately commune with living in a coastal temperate rainforest. Camping overnight also means more time to spend in community! Sunsets and sunrises savored, long evening meals on the Hawk House deck, and an unending chorus of song birds, owls, hawks, and eagles. It is a joy to experience and share in the splendor with others. More permanent structures are on their way.

Spiritual awareness is an ongoing process that unfolds as you shift from your present reality into an ever-higher state. As you become more aware, you increasingly notice new dynamics. You make a shift in awareness, and your awareness of your reality changes. In fact, as your level of awareness shifts, much comes into vision that was previously unknown to you because you were unconscious of it, and therefore unable to see it. It is important you take this process of awakening one step at a time. Just imagine what would happen if you became completely aware of all the subconscious levels of your reality at one time! It would be overwhelming.
So here you are in a physical body, the state of which is made up of different pathways, a concept we call "threefold programming." We are a product of three different pathways.
As a spiritual being, you have had a lot of history. Your history spiritually is the first pathway into this lifetime. All the consciousness, information and programming you have accumulated during your past lives comes with you in your energy field as you leave one body and come into another. There are pros and cons to having a "spiritual history". You bring with you strength and knowledge from previous experience, but there is also programming and past traumas that you have not yet healed. All of this comes with you into a new lifetime. This is the nature of the first pathway.
The second pathway is your cellular memory and genetic programming. This is your bloodline, all the genetic information and programming is passed down from generation to generation. In the combination of the sperm and egg, comes a whole host of information and programming which makes up your body. This is one of the reasons we so often see patterns repeated from one generation to the next.
The third pathway is this lifetime's reality on an energy level; the time spent growing up, including all the experiences you've had. All the information and programming you have taken on from the first moment of life, brings you up to the point where you are right now as a spiritual being in a physical body.
We are a complex combination of these three pathways that is "Threefold Programming". Every issue we deal with as we live out this lifetime will have different levels of energy involved, but it will be a combination of these three pathways on some level - just different amounts of each one.
As we work toward healing specific issues in our lives, it is important to examine the energy connected to each pathway. The first step is to look at the past life that comes up around a particular piece. What was the karmic charge left behind that you are working on healing in present time?
The karmic element is really interesting because it's so direct. You played one side of the game, and now you are playing the other. If you do not heal the issue, it just keeps coming around for lifetimes until you heal it.
Next, we have to tune in to the cellular memory, or genetic core. This is the programming handed down directly by your biological mother and father. It is more than just the genetics. Issues get passed forward on an energy level as part of the body, part of the packaging. A particular energy dynamic may have been going on for centuries.
Finally, we look at the third pathway of the programming that makes up your current reality, and that is simply your experience this lifetime, the programming and information you are operating off of.
Be aware of all three aspects when you are doing your healing: your past experience and learning, your cellular or core programming, and your experiences this lifetime. It is important to be aware of the basic healing work that needs to happen on all three levels. Getting a hand from a spiritual reader/healer can help in becoming more clear on these levels. You must consider what is happening in the present, but also look to the past. The three pathways are intrinsically connected; they mix and create your current reality.
