The 9 Day Dharma Healing experience was a beautiful one.

Participants start out with a meditation on the value of service.

After class, we start creating the sacred sanctuary.

Amused Scott.

Julia is tidying up the rock path.

Jeanine is weeding.

Darci and Scott trying to decode the gold cloth puzzle. How do we fit it all around the room?

Outside, a rock garden is being built. Inukshuk's stand tall and balanced outside the sanctuary.

The sanctuary is set up!

Back at the Hawk House, cleaning has been happening!

The retreat dishes are set out, ready for use.

Tiffany brings amusement to the dishes.

Beautiful bouquets for our dining tables.

Keith and Tiffany getting lunch.

Tasks are shared amongst all participants, with time for meditation and group work. The schedule is full of healing activities!

The Victory Stall got some loving as well! It houses running water for washing.

After an evening circle, and a long day, participants head off to their tents. Before bed each person gets a blessing written on a card.

Lightwork Moving Mediation (or LMM) is such a profound way to start the day.

LMM was lead by Krista,

and Keith.

Each day brought new adventures.

This is the first stop on the 7 Chakra Station Journey.

The 7 Chakra Station Journey demands spiritual presence while going on a physical adventure.

The Second Chakra site.

Scott leading a meditation at the Third Chakra site.

The Seventh Chakra site is a powerful spot on the top of the Lightwork ecovillage's mountain.

Other activities included visits to the Sacred Clay Pools.

With a Pacific Alligator Lizard.

Always lots of tadpoles.

And one day, a snake!

Humans who like communing with animals swam too.

Mealtime!

We had yummy salads, with fresh veggies.

Plentiful tea, sometimes a mix of many kinds.

Cathy stirring some delectable breakfast eggs.

Meals were always abundant.

Always made with love.

And made with fresh herbs and veggies from the garden where possible.

As part of the Dharma Healing concept, participants washed their own dishes after every meal.

In the afternoons we had Healing Space on the lawn.

Afternoons also held the possibility for a massage from Cathy.

As well as all the activities we also spent a lot of our time in meditation. The 9 Day Dharma Healing created a sacred space for us to do deep spiritual work.

Some of our meditations brought us outside.

The task was to ask a question, and walk in nature to find the answer.

Some found symbolism; in the image of a trail.

Noticed the strength and grounding of an inukshuk.

The tree with many branches.

What can the pine cone tell you.

What learning can you gather from a prickly plant.

Even the animals have wisdom to share.

And the Sacred Space celebration was a gentle sharing of Spirit.

Together in song.

We ended Friday night with a group photo.

Saturday morning sunrise comes, and the participants start a day of cleaning up!

Continuing honouring the 9 Day Dharma Healing's intention which is clean spiritual service. All the coolers went back to their non-retreat homes, and the food got laid out to be organized into remaining coolers or to be brought back to the city.

Darci cleaning out the coolers.

Cathy re-organizing the condiments shelf.

Tiffany is giving the windows a thorough clean.

In the midst of the cleaning, Darsi is making lunch!

Yum, Yum.

Cloe putting away freshly washed forks.

After a day of cleaning, we sit down to meditate.

Our meditation was held on the Hawk House deck,as hummingbirds hovered nearby.

With a simple centrepiece, participants were reminded that meditation can happen anywhere, anytime.

Last day of the Dharma Healing started out like any other, with breakfast.

Debbie.

Tiffany.

Cathy.

Jacqueline.

It's always tricky to say goodbye to our friends, the land and the experience of the week, but we must.

Goodbye!
