The Four Aspects

Your body sits inside your energetic field and responds and reacts to it.  When we refer to an energy blockage in the system, often it is within the body, in the sense that if it stays blocked, it will generally manifest itself physically.  The programming and issues you do not heal sit in your energy system for the length of a lifetime, and, if not healed, will then go along into the next body that you take on.  Remember everything is energy.  The physical body sits within the energy system as an extension of that energy.  Your body is an on-going interface between the energy and the manifest.  This allows you to experience manifestation and concepts like time and space.  Time is not frequently used out on the astral.  We can experience these things here, through the body.

We use the terms "body" and "Spirit", and refer to "body-seniority" and "spiritual-seniority".  There are, however, actually four aspects, two each for the body and the Spirit respectively.  First, we look at the "body/animal".  There is definitely an animal aspect to your reality.  The second is the "analyzer/mind".  The analyzer/mind is a different phenomena than your body.  The analyzer chats and talks and worries, always going on and on without any conclusion or transcendence.  Analyzers are great at figuring out how wide the coffee table is, or how you can express yourself in words so others can understand, but analyzers do not see the bigger picture.  When the analyzer is processing and in charge, it is not a spiritually aware state, it is a body-senior state.  Meanwhile the body is wondering what the analyzer is rambling on about.  The body always knows what it wants, it is straightforward, like a 2-year-old, "I want an ice cream cone, and I want it now."  There is no big debate.  Many people are in a state of body seniority, in either the animal or the analyzer/mind state.  Either way, they are not working from a place of higher awareness.

The first of the two aspects of spiritual-seniority is "soul-personality".  Your energy system is comprised of your aura, energy channels and chakras; your soul personality.  You can look at a body and see the energy and consciousness and say hello.  We recognize there is a being, because it is localized.  This is the part that carries on into your next incarnation.  When you leave your body, and move into your astral body or your next incarnation, you bring your contracts, programming and information with you.

The other level of spiritual seniority is what we call "Spirit".  Spirit is everywhere all the time.  You, as Spirit, are much bigger than your soul personality.  You, as Spirit, are huge and incredibly powerful.  Having a body with awareness of your soul personality is just a little piece of what you can do.  Spirit is everywhere all the time.  We talk about Spirit and soul personality in the same category because the concept of true Spirit is difficult for your body to comprehend.  Because Spirit is everywhere all the time, because you are powerful on such a massive level, it is hard to even consider.  This is where true inspiration comes from, your knowingness and your connection to Source.  The true understanding of your path comes from Spirit, from you as Spirit.  You as Spirit and your connection with Source both are one and the same thing.

The following personal examples of body/animal, analyzer/mind, soul personality, and Spirit will help to further define the four aspects.

I like to take my canoe onto the West Coast of Vancouver Island, BC and go to the exposed ocean.  The swells can be four to six feet high on calm days.  It is dangerous in a canoe, but if you keep your wits about you, it is an amazing experience.  I will try to express what I experience in respect to the four aspects while I was in this situation.  Out there in my canoe, going into areas where there are few if any other open boats, on a body level, at the animal aspect, there is excitement.  There is also a certain amount of fear because my body does not want to die.  There is exuberance, and a level of exhilaration in finding myself in such a situation.  My body loves the movement of the boat and the feel of the force of my muscles as I am paddling.  The animal is totally involved, and loving it.  All of this is going on  simultaneously.  This is the animal experience of my canoe adventure.

At the next level up, the analyzer/mind, is calculating the size of the waves.  It is considering the tide, looking at the break, considering the way the waves are breaking, and how the current is moving, and which way the water is being pulled.  It is evaluating how much weight I have in the boat, and thinking of the free board available if a wave breaks over the bow, and just how much water I will be able to take on before the boat starts to sink.  The  analyzer/mind is also checking the memory bank for all the other times I was in similar circumstances and is totally involved processing all the information.

On the next level there is the soul personality, relishing the deep connection with nature, feeling the energy coming off the waves.  The waves could be rolling in all the way from Japan, discharging their energy.  The soul personality loves the experience of being in the ocean’s invigorating release of energy and the life force healing it is receiving at that moment.

Finally, there is Spirit, everything all the time, just being with Source.  That experience is the experience of being one with it all.  The being finds itself in God's hands.  There is a wholeness in being touched by those waves that have, in turn, touched the other end of the universe.

Driving a car provides another good opportunity to examine the dynamic of the four aspects.  First, what is the animal doing?  It loves working the pedals, and turning the round thing, feeling the G-forces when turning a corner and accelerating.  The animal is enjoying those aspects of the experience.

The analyzer, on the other hand, is calculating the distance in front of the car, and whether I am going to crash into it or not.  It is noticing that as I approach the stop sign, I am going to put my foot on the brake.  It is approximating the length of time the drive will take.

On the level of the soul personality, there is consideration of just how out of alignment the whole idea of driving a car is with the spiritual energy of nature.

The Spirit is looking at the part of me in the car having the experience in manifestation.  It is also aware of all the other things going on.

These are the four aspects that are an integral part of every situation you experience.  As you evolve your consciousness, you become more aware of the involvement of each level.  What is the animal doing?  What is the analyzer doing?  What is the soul personality doing?  What is the Spirit doing?  What is really going on?  You are working toward achieving a state of balance, where everything is in harmony with everything else.

The analyzer aspect is a particularity fascinating one.  Generally our culture is an  analyzer-obsessed culture that does not honour the animal, the soul personality or the Spirit.  The animal, for instance, is often neglected.  In any given situation, it is interesting to consider what the animal is doing.  Sometimes when I look at something that I thought my animal liked, it is not really engaged.  This is commonplace for most people.  It does not, of course, mean that you give up doing things just because the animal is not enjoying the experience.  You would not want to give up meditation just because the animal does not understand it.  Remember the animal is primitive and if it does not understand something, it usually goes into fear.  Often, when I am teaching people how to read auras the students' animal body is in fear, petrified and shaking because it has no idea what they are doing.  Reading auras is not an animal process, it is an act of Spirit.  After a while, with reassurance from the soul personality and Spirit the animal knows to relax and be with it.  It likes the feel of the energy, but it has no idea what is going on.  If you could hear the body talking, it would likely say: "This probably would not be my first choice as animal to do, but I trust the being is in charge and this is beneficial for us, so I will go with it."  After a while, the animal gets used to reading auras and actually starts to enjoy it.

Analyzers are very much like the binary language of computers.  On a basic operation level there are only two options; zero and one, a yes or a no.  There are many great analyzer activities, accounting for example.  It is important not to invalidate the analyzer because it is a significant part of the manifest experience.  You need to use the analyzer for what it is qualified for, rather than letting it take charge.  Remember, if the being does not take charge, then the analyzer will.  There are frequent battles between the analyzer and the animal and the analyzer can be quite aggressive in its efforts to take control of a given situation.  It says, "If we analyze it more then we will get the answer."  The being has to stand firm.

On an energy level, the soul personality is a state of higher awareness.  Most people experience meditation from this place.  Soul personality still has to do with the activity; it still has to do with the body and the being experiencing a given situation.  There is a level of understanding with respect to whatever pictures are lighting up.  When you are operating from the soul personality level you are not ruled by the pictures, there is an awareness of what is going on.  This is the part that sees the issues light up and watches your body go into resistance.

The highest place of awareness, the Spirit-first place, is everywhere all the time.  Spirit can see the energy system, the analyzer, the body and the soul personalities journey the way it really is, from a higher perspective.  Spirit sees the whole thing.  It views your journey in its entirety, in its wholeness.  That is the place we get to if we are aware from a place of Spirit, Spirit first.

When you are playing out there in the world, tune into the four aspects and notice what is going on for you.  It is a fascinating exercise!
