Astral Body

You as Spirit are currently localized in your physical body but you also have a non-manifest energetic body, sometimes called a “light body”.  We refer to it as your “astral body”.  It usually looks just like your physical body and generally is the same size, but is made of non-manifest energy.  When it is not in use, it sits right inside your physical body.  Your astral body is not, however, bound by the same physical laws as your physical body.  It can fly around, walk through walls, and pop right to the other side of the universe.  Any time you are astral traveling you are doing so in your astral body.  You, as Spirit, are everywhere all the time, and are truly outside of time and space; that is what we call "unity consciousness".  You can move into your astral body and check out any time and place in or outside manifestation.  You have a sliver cord that connects your astral body to your physical body, so you can always find your way home.

When you go to sleep at night, most of the time you get into your astral body and head out on to the astral with varying degrees of consciousness of what you are doing.  Your astral life and your dreams are not, however, the same thing, even though they may appear so.  Dreams are pictures that are lit up and hanging around in your space because you did not acknowledge or release them when they popped up during your day.  At night, the pictures process through the analyzer and create dream sequences.  Your astral experience may seem like a dream, but it is an actual astral event.  With practice and awareness you can know the difference between the two.  On a basic level, astral events feel more real, more tangible than dreams.  The Spiritual Warrior continues to bring more consciousness to manifest reality, and also to the astral in order to be more aware of the entire journey.
