As a spiritual being, you exist outside of time and space. There is no past, present or future - you just are. Your manifest body only exists in present time and provides a point of reference for Spirit. We call this localized consciousness. Your body is in present time and the spiritual being uses the body to experience
manifest reality, to experience time-based reality. The body is a defined point in linear time, a local expression of the Spirit.
We create many realities outside of manifest reality. It is an interesting process to visit and heal the places you have created on the astral plane. Places you went when you were a child and you needed to get out, perhaps as the result of the desire to escape from an uncomfortable, dangerous or abusive situation. We all create places out on the astral where we go, or have gone. They are creations, they exist, and they are as real as the physical world, as manifest reality. They just exist as energy on the astral. They are familiar to us, the question is how conscious are we of their existence?
People create astral realities for many reasons. It is often the result of feelings of worthlessness and helplessness here in the manifest. Depending on the level of escape, people can create totally alternate realities, and have only a foothold in this reality. Sometimes, when the abuse is extreme, beings leave, and don't come back to that body again.
As a Spiritual Warrior on a path to freedom, it is important to know that part of your energy can still be tied up in keeping old astral realities alive. Part of your spiritual healing involves pulling the energy off those astral realities, or completely dismantling them if they do not serve you any more, and are now just an ongoing energy drain. You could be using a lot of your vital energy just keeping those places in existence, thereby lessening your power and freedom. As a child, for example, you may have created an astral home; this might have been a childhood escape - like a fort, enchanted garden or land of fairies, etc. You can play with consciously visiting this astral reality, you may notice different feelings. If it was a place to escape pain, related feelings, pictures, may still be there, or it may just feel nice and cozy. These astral creations are real, and when you choose to create an alternate reality and leave your body, you really do leave. Your body does not go with you, and if you spend too much time in this astral creation your body may be angry, feeling as though you are abandoning it all the time. Your healing involves getting back into a "hello space" with your body, allowing communication, and letting your body know you are going to be here now to look after it.
While you are sleeping there is plenty of time to explore, heal and play on the astral. When your body is awake however, the emphasis needs to be on being present with it. The Spiritual Warrior seeks to have the personal space in body, a place where one can create anything one wants. When your body is awake allow yourself to be in present time, instead of out there. Have your creative space in the present. This is the next step in being more real, and not living so unconsciously out on those astral realities. When your body is awake intend to live more in this reality, so you can have your power, do your healing and become truly free.
