Destiny or Freedom

We are all moving on a path of either destiny or freedom.  Our path depends on our spiritual choices and our level of awareness.  We have vast layers of karma, or contracts, based on different interactions with people in our past lives and our present reality.  We have created layers of contracts that need to be fulfilled if we do not do the healing.  These are karmic contracts and we keep living them out lifetime after lifetime.

Take for example, a past life relationship between two people where one was dominating and wounding the other.  If we look at the contract between these two we may find the contract states they will re-manifest together again in a future lifetime.  The work between them is not finished.  It was not settled at the end of that lifetime and they must come back to complete it.  These two people will have a relationship again in order to work this piece out.  It is possible that the one who was dominated will become the dominator in a subsequent life.

Consider for a moment how many contracts you set up over thousands of  lifetimes.  Large contracts, small contracts, contracts of all kinds.   If not  transformed, all contracts are destined to be lived out.  If you are to live out every one of your contracts, your destiny is rock solid.  Your future is already  constructed on an energy level because you will be fulfilling of all these contracts.  If you are not doing deep spiritual work, if you are not shifting your reality, those contracts stay in place and you will need to complete them.  This is destiny.  This is the karmic wheel.

You do have other choices, though.  There is the choice of freedom.  Every time you release the energy of a contract, heal a piece of karma, every time you become aware of programming in your space, you are moving another aspect of your life from a state of destiny into a state of freedom.  By releasing energy out of your space, you begin to clear that piece and to whatever degree you are able to clear it, your life course, and thus your future, will change.  When you heal your karma, you create a different future.  As you release pieces of programming out of your space you are actually destroying the contracts.  As you let them go and create clearer and clearer space for yourself, you open up unlimited possibilities.  You become freer and the future that was your destiny becomes just one of many choices that you have.

As we clear the karma that limits our reality, we create greater choice and greater freedom for ourselves.  Our reality shifts from a place of destiny to a place of freedom; to a place where we can create what we want.  We keep clearing away the contracts that are taking us in a certain direction and we start opening up new pathways, new realities.  And then, finally, we will not need to come back to this manifest dimension, Earth, in body again, in order to fulfill any karmic contracts.  At this point, we have choice.  We can come back if we want.  We can go if we want.  We are truly in a universe of freedom where we can create whatever we want.

When you have a vision of the future, it is something that represents “a" future.  It does not necessarily need to happen.  If you want to create a different reality, become conscious of the direction you are heading and release the energy, the contracts in place that will create that future and consciously choose the direction you truly want.  You have choice here.  You have freedom.  There is no destiny if you choose the path of freedom.

If you choose to live in a state of destiny, then you are living in a state of unconsciousness.  Being conscious is challenging because what you are bringing into your perception may not be something your body enjoys.  When you bring past wounds and pain into consciousness, it is important to practice neutrality/non-judgment in order to be able to heal these wounds.  If you judge them, if you are labeling yourself or anybody else as wrong then it is difficult to heal.

Neutrality and awareness have to grow at the same pace.  If you have great awareness without neutrality, you are going to get stuck, quickly.  You will be seeing the issues vividly and at the same time judging them and yourself harshly.  This dynamic seizes up the whole healing process.  The issues will get so big and painful you will not be able to clear them.  In order to see one of your core wounds, perhaps a painful act from the past, of which you have previously had no recollection, it is important to remain neutral.  The Spiritual Warrior looks at the issue or event without judging it or judging anybody else who played a part -  this enables the Spiritual Warrior to release it with ease, to let it go.

The majority of people are unwilling to look at their core wounds, to slay their dragons, because it is the most frightening thing they can do.  Some people would rather go to war than to look at themselves on this level.

The moment a person is ready to look at themselves and others on a core level, is the moment when the Spiritual Warrior is truly born and everything begins to change.  They begin to move from a state of destiny, just going along with the karmic reality, to a state of freedom, where the wounds are healed and the karmic wheel is used cleanly to consciously create what they want.  Destiny is a choice; freedom is a choice.  The choice is yours.
