You are a spiritual being in a body, currently having a human experience on this planet. Most likely, you have had many lifetimes of unconscious living. You were here living a life but were not conscious of yourself as a spiritual being. It is important to realize you have been alive in past lives and you have had many bodies that have died. When your present body dies, that will just be the most current death. You have lots of experience in dying. There have been lots of ways your bodies have died, both peacefully and violently. There are all kinds of different things that have happened over all those lifetimes. Part of the process of being spiritually conscious is to get increasingly neutral with the transition from life to death.
You exist as Spirit, and the Spirit continues. When this body dies, you collect your energy and information and carry on. It is important to transcend the fear of death. As a Spiritual Warrior, you want to be able to have death right there, right close by, so it can remind you how wonderful life is, remind you to live and have the moment. "Live every day like it was your last." The only way we can accept this is if the idea of death becomes more neutral.
Bodies generally have a certain amount of fear around death, and if they are in a senior position to Spirit, they can be petrified. It is a true ending for the body, but it is not an ending for you as Spirit. When you are spiritually- senior you can reassure and comfort your body, supporting it through the death process. You do not have to lose your space when your body dies, or submit to fear. The more spiritually aware you become, the more you're able to own this piece and simply carry on.
The Spiritual Warrior wants to be in a state of choice. “When do I die? How long do I want to live?” These choices are not governed by external factors. It will happen sometime. Could it be a joyous event, or does it have to be wrapped up in fear and unknown? When it's time to release, to die, it is possible to take all of your energy and spiritual information with you and let the body go. It is possible to do this to the point that the body disintegrates quickly because there is so little residual energy left in it. There is very little left behind. It is the spiritual reality that you are not your body. This is your home for this lifetime only. Death is change, and change is growth.
