Introduction to The Journey Is The Goal
I believe that every human being on this earth will ultimately do his or her spiritual work. They will become aware of how they create their reality; they will transcend the programming and energy that limits their awareness, and truly obtain spiritual freedom. This means being able to do whatever they want spiritually, anywhere in the universe, without having unfinished business or contracts that need to be cleaned up back in the physical realm. Those are the contracts that limit reality and create the karmic wheel. We all will transcend at some point. It is just a question of when.
Books written on the topic of spirituality often take one piece of spiritual truth, and expand upon it over two or three hundred pages. This can be a very effective tool to assist people in living and understanding a certain aspect of spirituality. This book is, on the other hand, an overview. It covers a lot of ground with the intention of presenting the "big picture" with respect to how energy works and how beings evolve. It also goes into depth regarding some of the possible pitfalls and places where we can get stuck. I spend time on these topics because most people are doing things energetically that do not serve their higher purpose. Setting oneself free spiritually is an important part of the healing process.
So much of what is happening in people's lives is unconscious. I believe the process is all about raising awareness, and recognizing what is going on energetically/spiritually in your life. If you are unconscious of an issue, it is much more difficult to heal it, and to transcend it. Many of the big games on the planet are played simply to keep people unconscious. Ignorance is bliss, but it is not freedom, and it doesn't last forever. When the question of "why" becomes bigger then the comfort taken from ignorance, then the spiritual journey becomes much more conscious.
We are all moving towards Source and freedom. Everything we do moves us on our spiritual path. We often take big detours that involve extensive rerouting, but in the end, we are always moving.
The Journey Is The Goal sheds light on many of the places where we get stuck. The intent of the book is to help people align themselves with their most direct spiritual path, and move towards Source and freedom with the least number of detours. This requires being very "real" with ones self and being able to look within. Truly looking within yourself and facing the places where the pain and suffering resides, is the most challenging, and the most frightening thing that anyone will ever do. People have chosen to go to war rather than look at themselves on a deep level, to look internally at their state of being. Anybody who is ready to do their spiritual work, and who is walking that path will tell you that there is nothing more frightening then truly looking directly at yourself. We are all so exceptionally good at generating external distractions.
This book is a source of information for people who are seeking spiritual awareness, no matter what spiritual practice or path they are on. There are terms used in this book that may be new to you. I will use the terms many times so you will become familiar with them. For example, "being lit up," simply means that specific energy has become visible in a person's space. We call it being lit up because if you look at someone's energy system in that state, that is exactly what it looks like. The energy is lit up; pieces have come up and are now very predominant in that person's reality. It can be an issue, it can be a past time event, it can be resistance. Being lit up is great; it is part of the journey.
I believe that all spiritual paths are valid, and that there is no path that is more valid then any other. All realities are valid realities. It does, however, greatly facilitate a person's journey to know which path he/she is walking and in which Energetic House he/she resides. I will explain these concepts in detail in later chapters. The more understanding you have of these concepts, the clearer the journey will become.
This book is designed for you to receive the information in two different ways: intellectually and intuitively. The articles one can access intellectually. The poems and photographs are intended for you to touch into the different facets of the spiritual journey in a non-linear, intuitive way. Each poem is not meant to describe the section of the text, but to express aspects of the spiritual journey in general. I am not telling you anything that you don't already know, the book is simply triggering you to access the information that already exists for all of us, all of the time.
