Q: Who is in charge of Lightwork?
A: Scott Robinson is the Spiritual Director of Lightwork. Scott did not have one profound moment and suddenly become enlightened, his clarity has been achieved through a step by step healing process and meditation practice that he has been diligent with for over two decades.
Q: Where did Scott study?
A: Scott Robinson studied spiritual development at the Leyline Centre for Spiritual Practice from 1986 to 1995. He founded Lightwork Spiritual Development in 1996 and has been offering spiritual classes and services ever since.
Q: What are the origins of Lightwork?
A: Lightwork is not doing anything new. On a core level if you break a spiritual practice of integrity down to it’s essence, the spiritual principles remain the same no matter which spiritual tradition they come from. It is the structure and the presentation, (the flavour) which is different. Lightwork presents these core principles, the core spiritual information, as neutrally and cleanly as possible with integrity and amusement.
Lightwork is independent and not connected to any lineage. Scott’s main teacher at Leyline, was one of it’s founders, Don Ley. Don received his training from Lewis Bostwick at the Berkeley Psychic Institute in California. When Don co-founded Leyline he took the basis of what he learned from Lewis but created a very different spiritual practice. Likewise, when Scott left Leyline he created an entirely new spiritual practice called Lightwork. Many of the techniques and the language remain the same but the practice, (the energy), is very different.
Lightwork believes that all people have the ability to heal themselves and create spiritual freedom and Lightwork offers a safe and supportive space to facilitate this process.
Q: If I sign up for a class what is expected of me?
A: That you pay the fee, that you show up on time. And if you need to miss a class you let the teacher know ahead of time and they will record it for you.
Lightwork has an open door policy. Students are free to come and go as they please. Lightwork will not own or hold on to any student and has many techniques designed to ensure a student’s spiritual freedom. Each person is on their own journey and every class the student takes at Lightwork is 100% their choice.
Q: What is healing?
A: Healing is defined as the act of creating wholeness, removing any energy that limits one’s awareness and freedom. If you ask Scott he will say he has only healed one person and will only heal one person in his lifetime and that is himself; all healing is self healing. He also believes that healing is never complete, that would suggest a limited universe. The universe is unlimited so healing is unlimited. He believes that healing is a lifestyle and there are always new levels of awareness to explore in this unlimited universe.
