Lightwork Productions
The Lightwork Band has evolved from a band to an experience. Lightwork, A Musical Journey into Spirit. We now have moving images, poetry, meditation and stories during this live happening and we are embarking on the first Lightwork Tour. We are proud to release the Lightwork Moving Meditation Instructional DVD. We shot this is Thailand in the winter of 2005 and it is now ready for release.
Scott wrote the poem Step By Step after meditation where he was contemplating the spiritual journey as a whole. Months later during an afternoon of creative song writing Scott and Krista wrote the cord structure and melody. The song Step By Step was born. Bringing Susan Summers in to add her classic harmony and backing vocals was the next step in this songs evolution. Julia and Keith added drum and bass lines and the song was taking shape. Originally Krista was singing lead on this song but later on in its journey it was decided for Susan to take the lead vocal and for Krista to add some other prominent vocal lines to make the song more full. During the fall of 2004 Step By Step was recorded at LSD Studios and Scott mixed and mastered it on his laptop. Next Lightwork Productions shot a video of Step By Step in Thailand and Vancouver and released the song on the Lightwork’s Step by Step album along with the video, November 20, 2005. People who are not involved in the making of music may not realize the time and energy it takes to create original music from scratch. It is a time consuming creative and richly rewarding art form. Lightwork Ecovillage
Cultivating our first Ecovillage Music Festival has been a fun experience. We plan to do more prep for the event on the land the week leading up to the July 22 date. It is our first festival and therefore quite understated but rich with love and inspiration.
A dedicated crew has been spending most Sundays digging foundation trenches to support the cob structure walls, gathering wood that acts as insulation and is an integral structural element for the building, collecting glass bottles to be recycled into this environmentally friendly buildings walls that create high insulation and moving 90 pound bales of straw for our super insulated north wall. The educational curve is great as we learn how to build a structure that is truly earth friendly. It is very exciting and inspiring. We are looking forward to living on the land for 2 weeks, creating community, sharing meals, building with our hands and enjoying summertime in BC. The Ecovillage will be hopping this summer!

Being Present
Your power in body lies in being right here, right now, in "present time". You likely spend a lot of time in the past or future. When, you think of something that happened in the past, your energy is in past time. Our physical bodies are always in present time. As Spirit we can be anywhere. When you are out of present time, you lose the wholeness and fullness of your experience of life in a body. The goal of the Spiritual Warrior is to let right now be real.
Doing your spiritual healing is always a process of updating. You must be in present time with it because you are not the same person you were a few weeks ago. It requires examining where you are right now, remembering your path, and having the intention to be in present time with your process. Every time you do a meditation, you shift your energy and it will change your reality to some degree. When you are actively meditating, you change quickly.
It is possible to plan for tomorrow and still stay in present time. The key is to consciously decide to spend a certain amount of time focusing on what you need to do to prepare yourself for a certain activity or event. Work with the future time event without going into the future. It is important to stay in present time as you create a future you desire. Finally, let go of the preparations. You do not need to be in tomorrow to make something happen. If part of you is continually thinking about what is going to happen, you are already there. You are already doing it, and that is a lot of energy and time invested in whatever that thing is. Being in the future scatters your energy and breaks it apart. Often, if you are focusing on a future event for a week, by the time it actually happens, you are exhausted because you have been doing it for a week. The Spiritual Warrior lets future events go and exists in present time.
