ImageLightwork Productions

2006 has been a time of many firsts for Lightwork Productions, the creative wing of Lightwork.  From the first summer tour of The Lightwork Band along the BC coast, to the Lightwork Moving Meditation DVD which has inspired many at-home meditations, there has been a lot of healing facilitated by these productions.  An inexpensive B&W version of the book, The Journey Is The Goal is in production and will be released early in the new year.  The year was ushered out with the Lightwork Productions crew supporting the Annual Winter Sacred Space Celebration, an event that left all participants blissed out and wanting more.

Lightwork song of the month: click here to play
Years Have Past

Years Have Past is a look into the process of evolution, from the early consciousness of the human race crawling out of the ocean to begin the land based phase of our journey, all the way through to our current consciousness, experiences like the euphoric feeling one has watching cherry blossoms take flight on a spring breeze.   At a certain point in anyone’s spiritual journey they start to reflect on the journey itself, the hills and valleys, the challenges and triumphs, seeing it all as equal and simply part of forward movement.  Scott was considering all of this and jotting lines down as the song Years Have Past was being created.  There is quite a lot of words in this piece so in the end when the lyrics were married to the upbeat and slightly punky cord structure they turned out to be almost rap-like in order to get all of the information out.  As the chorus of the song goes, “times, tears, fear, years” truly have past.  Recorded at Venture Studios with many musical friends, the song appears on The Lightwork Band Step by Step CD.

Years have Past

Sunlight explodes with a solar flare
The warmth excites particles of air
Grasping this force in fragile green veins
Stretching out free to feel the rains

In the damp dripping darkness the cold mist lays
Then glows orange with the new mornings rays
The life-giving elements keep us in motion
On a wet stormy night we crawled from the ocean

A child let to be, a man breaking free
A woman shedding her skin, myself looking within
What is this place we call our home?
Where is that place I go alone?

Bursting forth from the Earth's crust
Burning like gold inside all of us
Waves upon waves sculpt this place
The rain falls down on the human race

A breeze caressing tones, inside I chime
The wind strikes a cord outside of time
I watch raindrops create rings upon rings
Past and future merge as the earth sings

Breaking through layers we flew to my heart
In the end I see what I’ve known from the start
In a flurry of pink touching the sky
As the spring petals fly so do I

Times, tears, fears, years have past
Times, tears, fears, years have past

Image Lightwork Ecovillage

The pace at The Lightwork Ecovillage slows in the winter as the salamanders sleep in the chilly soil, the deer nest in the tall grass, and we warm ourselves around the woodstove.  We can look back at 2006, a year of much inspiring work.  For 16 beautiful days the community came together to learn how to build with cob.  There was the 1st Annual Lightwork Ecovillage Music Festival, which was a great time for listening to live music in the gorgeous summer heat.  The Lightwork Ecovillage Board and Advisor took some concrete steps in creating the legal structure of the Ecovillage.  As the years pass we continue to grow our relationship with eachother and this awesome abundant land.

Freedom Begins

A power moment for truth
Let it seep out of your soul into transcendent waters

It is time the skipping stone must descend
The descent before the ascent creates freedom

Yes the slaying of fear takes courage
But this is why you are here
This is why I am here
This is why we are here together right now
Climb the path of pain to a higher place
Where the full moon shines on timeless seas
And the wounds cannot hide

The journey to freedom begins

Anything you do, you do to yourself.

Have you ever heard the expression "whatever goes around comes around"?  It is more than just a little saying it is talking about the spiritual law of karma.  Essentially whatever you put out into the world you receive back.  If you put resistance out into the world you receive resistance back.  If you put anger out into the world you receive anger back.  If you put violence out into the world you receive violence back.  If you put love out into the world you receive love back.  If you put freedom out into the world you receive freedom back.  If you put ease out into the world you receive ease back.

When the thing that you put out into the world comes back to you, you have a few different options of what to do with it, depending on what you are receiving.  One is to live it out, another is to heal it, to take whatever steps that need to be taken to clean it up.  If you choose the first option you will send it out into the world for another cycle.  This can feel wonderful if it is love you are receiving back and it is love you send back out into the world.  It can also be anger that you put out and then have received back, and then in turn put out again, keeping the cycle of anger going.  So decide what you want in your life.  Decide what reality you want to create and put that out into the world.  Give it away.  Let it go and ultimately you will receive it back.

If you want to learn all of the time, then teach all the time.  If you want to receive love from others all the time then love others all the time.  Ultimately this comes back to you.  If you want to be in a state of bliss it doesn't work if you just sit around waiting for it.  You simply need to be there and put it out.  Simply be in a state of bliss and let that radiate out into the world, it will radiate back to you.  Remember anything you put out into the world you will receive back sooner or later.  Make your choices from this place.
