Lightwork Productions - the creative wing of Lightwork - and the home of the Lightwork Band has gone through many changes in the past few months with members moving on to other projects and the recommitment and new musical zeal of the current members. The Band is excited about getting down to some amped-up creativity after the break. The Lightwork Movie is still in the works and it looks like it will be several years in the making. The technical skills of the Lightwork Production crew are ever-increasing as they hone their computer abilities and learn to roll up wires and cables with great agility. I'll Fly Too Scott was sitting in his apartment, in a very inward state, gazing at the grey clouds softly flowing over the Vancouver skyline thinking about the process of transcendence (creating spiritual freedom) for himself personally and also what that would look like for all of humanity (for we). Jotting down these simple lyrics to express this feeling, picking up his guitar he added some basic cords and the songs I’ll Fly Too was born. It is a gentle thought expressed in music and words. Later when the song was being recorded Scott asked his friend James Junger of Bob’s Your Uncle fame to play on the track. He effortlessly created the sweet guitar solo in the middle of the song. The song appears on The Lightwork Band CD Step by Step. I'll Fly Too Day by day I try to see Looking into the sky Watching spirits fly Soon I'll fly too Seeing days go by Floating in the sky Watching the horizon line Living outside of time Soon I'll fly too Stuck in this illusion Bound by evolution Is this really the end? When will we transcend? Soon we’ll fly too The Lightwork Ecovillage is as vibrant as ever as it goes through the stormy coastal season. Trees have fallen, roads have been briefly impassable, tarps have flown, but dedication and excitement have increased as well. Fallen trees are gifts for construction. Heavy water run-offs are potential wet-land gardens and ponds. Envisioning the over-all design encourages exploration of the land and brings excitement to the on-going journey of the Ecovillage. The Ecovillage provides so many gifts to be thankful for in this season of giving and receiving. Timeless Veil

No Strings AttachedClouds give earth rain No limits Plants give energy Flow Power Free and clear The sun gives existence itself Burns from within I am humbled by this giving Could I ever be that abundant? Giving always with grace Always with freedom and faith The balance is beyond understanding And I revel in its sheer magnificence With every breath I give thanks For the gift of life No strings attached Clean Giving & ReceivingClean giving and receiving is simply being able to give to another or receive from another without personal investment or expectation. It is giving without any strings attached, or receiving without feeling an obligation. This concept goes both ways. If you can give cleanly, you can receive cleanly. If you cannot give cleanly, you cannot receive cleanly. However, if someone gives you something uncleanly, you can still receive it cleanly. |
