Lightwork Spiritual Development
Lightwork classes are on summer break, but there is still plenty going on to give you spiritual support. Healing space continues throughout the summer, come get a hand as you move to your next step. The Sustainable Building Workshop provides the opportunity for much internal reflection, participants will do daily meditations, and lots of hands-on skills as well.

Apprentice Corner
Reflections of Debbie Longley
The growth period hit me like a tonne of bricks when I began the Apprenticeship, which was quite surprising and unexpected. However, a couple of months later I'm feeling quite settled in to my very full schedule. And the benefits are huge in terms of learning and growth.
The apprenticeship is about service - and my body found the amount of giving daunting at the start. But I am learning how much I receive simply by giving. Not by waiting for anyone to pay me back, or things to even out - but the act of giving to assist others on their spiritual journey is directly giving to myself. It's amazingly simple. I am learning more and more about that oneness.
This is also reflected in the deep loving community I share with my fellow Lightworkers. This is constantly growing for me as the old shields and walls fall away - and I realize that I am truly loved. I didn't grow up with much sense of community at all, and it surprises me sometimes how much I have that in my life now.
I know these next few years will be a powerful and enlightening experience. I can't even imagine the places I'm yet to go spiritually. It's very exciting.

Lightwork Production
Lightwork Productions, the creative wing of Lightwork, has been documenting Lightwork projects. There are a lot of projects to photograph this August with the Music Festival and Sustainable Building Workshop. These photographs provide awesome pictures for the photojournals on the Lightwork website.
Lightwork Productions has designed a new series of posters and flyers to advertise upcoming classes which begin in the fall. With the number of Lightwork teachers growing, the opportunity for taking classes is growing as well.

The Ecovillage is an inspiring place to be. The infrastructure on the land has had a major transformation. And inner transformations abound as well. The Lightwork Summer Retreat, which was held at the Ecovillage, was a deep healing for allinvolved. The “YES” space flourished at The Music and Arts Festival , with great tunes, new dance moves, and community. The Sustainable Building Workshop provided an awesome opportunity to build skills and experience manifestation. Cob is an amazing building material; strong, sustainable, and inspired. Working with the elements is a powerful transformative experience.

Lit Up - Loss of Space

The reality is you are much, much bigger than what you are currently experiencing in-body. You cannot deny, however, that moving forward on your spiritual path has a dramatic affect on your body. Your body may go through many different types of reactions. It is important to stay connected with your body, to give it a big hello, and to tell it that you love it. You have to validate your body as you deconstruct it and reconstruct it from a new place.
It is also essential to be aware of your growth periods. Your growth period is what happens when you make a shift spiritually, and your body is catching up to where you are. There will usually be tremendous change accompanying the growth period. You need to be able to notice the difference between becoming your growth period and being aware of it. Remember being lit up because you are in a growth period is different than losing your personal space. When you lose your space, you become the growth period. You become the issue. You may say or do things you later regret because you were speaking or reacting from the growth period and not your highest integrity. You can lose your space for a few minutes, a few days, a lifetime or more! You want to work toward losing your space less and less, but do not judge yourself if you do. As long as you are able to get your space back, you will continue to move forward. You will continue to get lit up by events in your life. The Spiritual Warrior uses them as an opportunity for healing, as a way of identifying where and what the issues are, the energy that still limits awareness and freedom. With this information, the warrior can take another step in healing.
When you become your growth period, you usually lose your center and your grounding. You lose your space for a moment, and the pain of the growth period is all there is. This is what "becoming it" feels like. It is possible to notice your growth period and continue to own your space. You are aware that your body is completely lit up, but you stay present. These are two very different realities. When you lose your space, you say things you don't mean. You do things you don't want to do. When you are lit up you are still owning your space, you are aware of your body feeling awful, but you are still present and you still act from that place of integrity.
As you move forward in your journey, you may still lose your space from time to time, but you will "get taken out" for shorter lengths of time. You will rebound much more quickly. You will find yourself more in a place of spiritual seniority, and less and less in that place of losing your space.
