Welcome to Lightwork 2008! Many people have intentions to make changes in their lives, bring in new things, let go of old, at the New Year. At Lightwork we're doing this all the time, of course. Wherever you are on your healing journey and however you do it give yourself a big yes, knowing that you can create your life however you want it, and that the healing you are doing is a powerful force of change not only for you but for all, "the ripples go out"! May your year be filled with love, light and peace.

Lightwork classes resume the week of Jan. 21. The first Level 4 / 5 class in the New Year is on January 24th. The first Next Step after the break is Tuesday January 22nd, 2008.

Apprentice Corner

Reflections of Debbie Longley

It is the end of November as I write this, with only two more weeks until Lightwork goes on break. My body is looking forward to a break from routine, and from the intense speed of growth I’ve been experiencing. I am no doubt a different person when you are reading this than when I wrote it! Currently I feel like some major old patterns are breaking, destinies I didn’t want to live are dying, and deep old wounds are being exposed and healed. My ability to consciously choose every aspect of my life is growing. Of course, that’s nothing new, but always exciting, and in many ways it is new each time such a break through happens. That is one of the things that is so amazing about this work, it makes life very rich, and each experience new. Sometimes the work feels grueling, but the payoffs are more than worth it. And, despite the discipline required, my enjoyment of life grows and grows. I’m looking forward to the retreat and the growth and healing that will inevitably take place there as well, combined with a break and a change for my body. And I’m excited about the Level I & II classes I’m offering in January, and continuing to grow my professional Lightwork space. Yes to more Lightwork on the planet! Yes to all of you!

Lightwork Productions

This January Lightwork Productions- the creative wing of Lightwork- will be documenting the Lightwork Winter Retreat in California. There are always lots of photo ops during retreats, a blog featuring the events of the retreat will be coming in the new year.

Lightwork Ecovillage

The Ecovillage is in its hibernation stage where all the life forms hunker down to weather the wind and rain season. Our cob structure is still in process and is currently wrapped in tarps to protect it from the ever so dramatic elements. The seasonal stream flows briskly this time of year as the land sucks up as much moisture as it can to last it through the drier summers. Our relationship with the land gets deeper and deeper all of the time and it feels more and more like coming home every time we arrive back to the lovely Lightwork sacred land. Having such a close relationship with a piece of land, being aware of all its moods really tunes one into the weather patterns and makes these weather patterns very important. We are noticing the changes of Global Warming, the Ecovillage is making these changes extremely visible to us, extending our awareness. We look forward to diving into more projects this January.

The Sleeper Awakes

We dance and sing enlightened songs
We cry and commit horrific wrongs
We believe in the magic nights
We see and feel the invisible lights

I trust the truth I see in souls
But wonder about our tainted goals
I see the light that burns in you
That fire is what drives me too

Wilting pain in prime time lies
The days of searching and frustrated sighs
My father's flowers on a cloudy day
I breathe the air and thank the gray

We put in the years hiding our fears
We put in the lives hiding our tears
One day the haze will clear away
And you and I will have the new day

At last we see the Earth's dark dawn

The dark and light will balance again

I sit and feel the desires run

With no fear I'm letting time go

As Spirit, you are timeless. You are forever. Birth and death are just part of the ongoing story which is you as Spirit. You choose when to have a body, and you decide when you no longer need one either consciously or unconsciously. The dance of life and death is just part of the flow of the universe. You co-created this planet as a place to experience manifestation. Your body is of this world and that is all it will ever know. You are much bigger than that. You have had experience in many bodies. You are in this world, but not of it.
