A reminder that Lightwork's year long programs are beginning in May:
Next Step Program It is truly amazing to see how much everyone can continue to grow and change, month after month, year after year. It's certainly never boring, often challenging, and also exciting. You never really know what new and exciting idea could be around, or what lovely manifestation of Lightworkers' clear intentions can pop up at any moment. People around us get lighter and brighter daily! It is beautiful. Healing Space and Sacred Space are two of the cornerstones of our community time. We encourage everyone to come out to the Healing Space on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:15 pm and Sacred Space the first Sunday of each month from 10:00-11:30 am. One way for people to be introduced to Lightwork is through these events. So bring a friend, your mother, your neighbour, or anyone you like! Everyone is welcome. NEW BLOGS! Apprentice Corner
Reflections of Julia Watson
One of the most frequent question that I get asked about
being an apprentice is what will I be qualified to do upon completion of the
apprenticeship? I usually reply that it
isn’t like that. It isn’t like getting
your plumbing ticket where you finally get to join the union and earn big bucks
upon graduation. That in fact, I am
learning about what it takes to run a spiritual practice. So the next question arises, but is usually
left unsaid: “So will I start my own spiritual practice when I finish?” My response continues to be “Why would
I?” What I am learning in level 7 is
that it takes a helluva lot of work to create and hold space for others to do
their healing. I have no yearning to
take the lead on such an endeavour. As
I deepen into the apprenticeship I am seeing that Lightwork offers more than
enough opportunity to keep me on my learning edge. I can’t imagine ever out
growing it because Lightwork is continually expanding and moving into new
areas. The latest example being the
energy offerings at Zazou Salon.
Lightwork as a relatively small organization, has the advantage of being
nimble and able to move and shift as needed.
Lightwork is emergent. By that I
mean while the spiritual principles are clear and unchanging, the organization
flows where opportunities arise and it’s members are inspired to move. I figure I’ve got it pretty good exactly
where I am.
Lightwork Productions – the creative wing of Lightwork – has been focusing on the visual aspects of the website, adding more videos and photography. Videos and photography can be seen throughout the website and more will be added in the future. This month Lightwork Productions set up the studio and did a video shoot for some upcoming website video clips. Photos and video add an important visual element to the website and is a great venue for expressing the creativity which is nurtured at Lightwork.

It is February. Still
winter really. Most trips to the
ecovillage lately have required rain slickers, rubber boots, and a ‘rain won’t
stop me!’ attitude. But when that sun
does come out it is like winning the jack pot.
Reclining on the deck, hot mug of tea, belly full of lunch, sun shooing
cooler times into the corners of distant memory.
The new deck, not yet a year old, continues to be the hub of
community. As Tiffany remarked on her
inaugural trip to the ecovillage: “That
is a mighty big view from here”. Yes
indeed. The big view helps us leave
distractions behind and encourages us take a higher of view of things. It helps us remember that really, we are all
ok.
