Lightwork Spiritual Development
The Lightwork Summer Break: July 18 - Sept. 1.Summer break means the Lightwork Centre in Dunbar is closed except for Healing space on Tuesdays.Much of the Lightwork staff will be on GambierIsland in August reveling in the Lightwork Ecovillage.Give them a call if you’d like to join them.Details are in the ecovillage section below.Even though classes aren’t in session make sure that you maintain your daily meditation space with diligence.Running your energy will greatly increase the "fun factor" this summer! The fall term commences on Tuesday Sept. 2 with Healing Space at 5:30 pm and the Next Step class at 7:30 pm.
There is Healing Space every Tuesday 5:30-7:15pm in August. We encourage you to come give/receive a healing and hang out in the Lightwork energy set.

Reflections of Keith Grennan
I've had some recent epiphanies around how to be more at ease with my work life (my computer programming day job) - lately I've been trying to take breaks every hour - to get up from the computer and shift my energy. This has been helpful in giving me more endurance. It's an interesting change of perspective when the focus goes from "how can I get this work done as fast as possible?" to "how can I do this work from a place of ease and enjoyment?". It changes the emphasis from my work being the most important thing in my life to my spiritual health being the most important thing - a night-and-day difference, even though from the outside it probably looks not much different. I am looking forward to the summer retreat and summer break at the Ecovillage. Yes!
Lightwork Productions
This August, Lightwork Productions continues to do creative endeavours. Taking photos for the three blogs is an ongoing project; this summer there is a lot to photograph and document. The blogs on the website serve as a way to share photos and information about what Lightwork is up to, and the blogs also serve as a way to document our history.The Lightwork Band is ever-evolving, band members may come and go, the music style may change, but it always remains true to the Lightwork principals and spirit first intention. The current sound of the band is Sacred Love Pop. The writing and recording of this album has been a complete joy for the band. "Sacred Love POP" is expected to be released this Fall. Lightwork is excited to share this new album with you all. Stay tuned.

Lightwork Ecovillage
We’ve realized that there is an unending amount of research to be done about living a sustainable lifestyle. So we’ve decided to take on doing short (two page) research reports on valuable topics. Krista has set up a binder where the various reports can be filed for future reference. So far we have reports on compost activators, biodynamic flow forms, and growing asparagus. Julia T is working on a beekeeping report and one on how to make oil of oregano. If you are interested in doing a research report please let us know. We can either suggest topics or you can come with an idea. Cool additions: pictures or diagrams in the report! Credit hours are being awarded for report writing time (3 hr max).
Krista, Keith and Scott will be at the ecovillage living "the good life" Aug 4-31. If you’d like to come up for a few days please call them on the cell (778) 231-8776. Julia W will be going up most summer weekends so you can call her to car pool at (778)-839-6576.

There is a huge difference between running your emotions and having your emotions run you. When you become your emotions, you become body senior, and when the body is senior, it can do great harm, even abuse. The being is not in charge, and the body is open to all kinds of influence: foreign energies, internal issues, whatever. When you are present as Spirit, you can stay in control.
One of the main purposes of the spiritual journey is to heal unconscious issues. A manifest body is a very powerful place to heal from. When your body dies, the energy or consciousness remains intact, and then you usually manifest another body to continue. You will pick up where you left off because whatever your issues were will still be at play, still intact. If you do not heal the issues you will keep on looping through the same type of reality, over and over. It is like a tape recorder with a circular tape on it, and it just keeps running around and around and around.
Perhaps you believe you are not good enough (special/worthless programming) or you never have enough (scarcity issues), or you feel threatened and need to be on defence, on guard (fear of losing personal space). The loops are always based on these types of core issues that are not healed. You will stay in a similar loop until you can release the programming and the pain and heal the wound. Only then can you step outside of that loop.
The loops of invalidation or the unhealed issues do not need to own you. You do not need to be limited by the issues because they are fundamentally not you. You are Spirit. Spirit can be experienced in a location. Your main location right now is in your physical body. That is where you focus your consciousness. The more you can bring the consciousness of Spirit into your body, the more healing you can do, and the more you can shift those loops. You can create a new reality. You are creating your reality all the time. Why not create what you want rather than a reality based on your old issues? Just let go. You can heal yourself at any time; it is your right.
