As Spring approaches and the buds grow we are reminded of the continuing cycle of nature and the balance inherent in that. Lightwork is all about creating balance as we individually grow and heal. The evidence of the balance being created is obvious. Lightwork's 2008 - 2009 major programs are nearing completion, students are looking brighter then ever. Sustainability is being created, not only the sustainability of one's individual energy system and journey but also the external sustainability we continue to strive for with our different projects. Not the least of which is the Lightwork Ecovillage creation. We are excited to have decided that we will be having our retreat this summer at the Lightwork Ecovillage. The core administration and project crew is now 9 Lightworkers strong. Tuesday is administration / project day at Lightwork and it is a buzz of activity. Feels great.

As we approach the start of the third and final year of the
apprenticeship my body is beginning to get nervous.Only one more year to get conscious!!!
Hahahaha, of course that isn't true but it is worthwhile to note that I would
do well to fully take advantage of this level of support while it is available
to me.It is a reminder to take
advantage of the many opportunities to heal and shift and grow that are offered
to me in every moment. My body was grumpy and irritable last week.As I washed the dishes I made an account of
all the things in the last week that had annoyed me.Then I looked at the similarities between
them and distilled it down to two words.Victim energy. It felt wonderful
to name the foreign energy and see how it was showing up in my life in so many
different ways.Being in the
apprenticeship really works.Being at
the Lightwork centre for so many hours means that I'm constantly listening to
classes, witnessing other student's processes, and able to ask Scott questions. It speeds up the process of getting to the
core picture which in turns speeds up the process of letting things go.My nervous body is a bit worried at the pace
of change I'm setting in this final year."Don't worry body May is a whole two months away!"
Lightwork Productions, the creative wing of Lightwork, has been working on various projects. Darsi K, a new productions team member, is creating an inspired leaflet with information about Lightwork’s principles and services. These leaflets will be distributed to key locations, inviting people to learn more about Lightwork.
The video editing team has been putting together videos to add to Lightwork’s online presence. Jeanine has been editing artistic footage shot at past winter retreats, and the Winter Sacred Space. A new video documentary project is taking shape, shooting will begin this month!

You are a spiritual being in a body, currently having a human
experience on this planet. Most likely, you have had many lifetimes of
unconscious living. You were here living a life but were not conscious
of yourself as a spiritual being. It is important to realize you have
been alive in past lives and you have had many bodies that have died.
When your present body dies, that will just be the most current death.
You have lots of experience in dying. There have been lots of ways
your bodies have died, both peacefully and violently. There are all
kinds of different things that have happened over all those lifetimes.
Part of the process of being spiritually conscious is to get
increasingly neutral with the transition from life to death.
You exist as Spirit, and the Spirit continues. When this body dies,
you collect your energy and information and carry on. It is important
to transcend the fear of death. As a Spiritual Warrior, you want to be
able to have death right there, right close by, so it can remind you
how wonderful life is, remind you to live and have the moment. "Live
every day like it was your last." The only way we can accept this is
if the idea of death becomes more neutral.
Bodies generally have a certain amount of fear around death, and if
they are in a senior position to Spirit, they can be petrified. It is
a true ending for the body, but it is not an ending for you as Spirit.
When you are spiritually- senior you can reassure and comfort your
body, supporting it through the death process. You do not have to lose
your space when your body dies, or submit to fear. The more
spiritually aware you become, the more you're able to own this piece
and simply carry on.
The Spiritual Warrior wants to be in a state of choice. “When do I
die? How long do I want to live?” These choices are not governed by
external factors. It will happen sometime. Could it be a joyous
event, or does it have to be wrapped up in fear and unknown? When it's
time to release, to die, it is possible to take all of your energy and
spiritual information with you and let the body go. It is possible to
do this to the point that the body disintegrates quickly because there
is so little residual energy left in it. There is very little left
behind. It is the spiritual reality that you are not your body. This
is your home for this lifetime only. Death is change, and change is
growth.
