We are working on preparations for the Lightwork Summer Retreat which is being held at the Lightwork Ecovillage Aug 9-15. Preparation for the retreat actually started months ago with time each ecovillage work party set aside to make sure everything is in order for a week of deep peace and renewal. We have held the retreat in many beautiful locations but there is something truly unique about having the retreat on our own sacred land. Payment due by June 30th. Hope you can join us!

I love my handwriting. I really do. This is an amazing statement for me to make. As a child I was chided, scolded and generally invalidated for ‘shockingly poor penmanship’ by both my teachers and my parents. Try as I might I could not make my letters flow like pretty Sharon Epp who sat behind me. I’m pleased to say my penmanship is quite lovely now. I’m not quite sure when the shift happened, it just snuck up on me, but in the past while I’ve actually received compliments on my handwriting! Given the digital age I don’t have the opportunity to write that much but when I do it is a pleasure. I attribute this to years of conscious healing. Moving out the invalidation energy that said I was inadequate and incompetent and definitely not as pretty as others. That limiting energy got in on my hand writing and many other places too. It is such a pleasure now to really see the shifts that I’ve made surface in unexpected places. Even in the flow of the pen.
Lightwork Productions- the creative wing of Lightwork- is in full swing this month. Many productions are ongoing and some are nearing the final stages. The Lightwork Band’s upcoming album Sacred Love Pop has been mixed and mastered, and as I write this plans are in the works for the album cover. Lightwork Life, a series of short videos chronicling Lightworkers as they go throughout their daily lives is in process. Lightwork Life is a video blog crossed with reality TV, giving viewers an inside look at life at the ecovillage, and other Lightwork endeavours. At a preliminary screening last week viewers met the show with much enthusiasm.
All of the Lightwork productions are the result of many people’s diligent work, both in front and behind the scenes. The team has a shared intention to bring more light onto the planet, and to heal themselves, and this intention makes for a very unique and rich creative process.

We hit the jackpot at the ecovillage this month – yup – we’ve been invited to take as much horse manure as we could possibly use from our neighbour’s 14 foot pile. A gardener's dream! Google tells me that horse manure usually has an ideal nitrogen / carbon ratio for composting when it has straw mixed in from mucking out the stalls so our compost pile is getting a great step forward with this valuable resource. Our garden is doing very well, everything is coming up and the hot weather has helped keep the scoundrel slugs away. The orchard is taking leaps and bounds forward as Krista has brought up about 5 fruit trees – cherry, peach, pear, plum and apricot to plant. The deck is resplendent with colour spilling out of hanging baskets making the deck an ideal hummingbird viewing gallery.
Upcoming work parties:

I see myself in spiraling mirrors
I see myself, I see my fears
Blood, flesh and bones - I am cast
Yet once again in this fibrous mass
I watched a blind man walking in the park
I see myself stepping into the dark
I feel the light implode into me
In the night I find I can see
A small English boy plays by a hedge
Footprints end by a cliff's edge
Deserted streets in the blue morning light
My squinting eyes with newfound sight
Past pain eases as the day breaks
In pale new light my body aches
A tormenting hunger that will not die
If it dies, so do I
Breaking through to that innermost layer
Deep inside the emotions tear
Vibration on light, a golden path
Lively joy and deadly wrath
Step by step in this body of mine
Feet touch earth, moving through time
Masses of life flow in the air
Beings come and go without a care
From the dark, timeless sea a light glows warm
Then rising from its womb a full moon is born
A gift from Source to the ones who can see
A gift from Source to the ones who can be
Touching my soul in rippling light
My pounding heart shines in the dark night
There are many different types of communication. A being in body may
choose to communicate with another being-in-body - we do this all the
time. There is also internal Spirit-to-body and body-to-Spirit
communication, as well as the communication space between a being in
body and a being-out-of-body, one of the more challenging forms of
communication is between male and female.
Being-in-body to being-in-body communication is undertaken verbally, on
the surface, using sound. An energy picture always accompanies verbal
communication. We constantly communicate with pictures. Most people
have lost their ability to be aware of these pictures consciously, but
there is no doubt that they see them on a subconscious level. You can
be in physical proximity to someone, and find yourself going into
resistance without him or her saying a word. Their pictures light up
your pictures without a single word uttered. On the other hand, you
have likely also had the experience of enjoying being with another
person without talking at all. The actual communication is through
pictures. Some old cultures believe the human being was never, in
fact, meant to use the voice for basic communication. The voice was
meant, instead, for singing and healing. All other communication would
take place by simply reading the pictures.
When your body wants to communicate to you, it does so primarily
through the second and fifth chakras, and when you as Spirit want to
communicate to the body you also use the second and fifth chakras as
well as a number of other means. In order to communicate with
beings-out-of-body simply get their attention and then put out a
picture for them to see and wait for them to show you a picture in
response. They may add words to the picture, you will just hear the
words inside your head, the most information is usually in the picture,
but the accompanying words can help with understanding the exchange.
Male to female communication is slightly more complicated. It is
important to be aware of the difference between the way males and
females communicate on an energy level. When a female puts out a
communication picture to another female, the other female looks at the
picture, and adds to it. Then, the first female will look at what was
added and adds something else, and on it goes. When a male puts out a
communication picture to another male, on the other hand, the other
male looks at the picture and then destroys it. Next, he puts out his
own, separate picture, and the first male looks at the new information
and destroys that before creating another picture and back and forth it
goes, they are communicating fine. So when a male and a female are
communicating with each other, there can be some misunderstandings.
The female puts out a picture; the male looks at the picture, then destroys it and puts out another picture. Then the female adds to this
new picture, the male looks at that, and destroys it. The female may
start to become angry and say, "You never listen to me" or he may say
”you make it so complicated”. You can see that being aware of how each
of the genders communicates can alleviate a lot of potential
arguments. Getting versed in the different forms of communication is
very important for the Spiritual Warrior on the path to freedom.
