The Lightwork Summer Break: July 20th to Sept 7th. Summer break means the regular classes and programs are on break but the Lightwork weekly potluck and Healing Space continues through the summer. Even though classes aren’t in session the Lightwork staff is still holding the Lightwork spiritual energy set and encourages you to maintain your daily meditation practice with diligence and amusement! Running your energy will greatly increase the "fun factor" this summer!
The fall term commences on Tuesday Sept. 7th with Healing Space at 5:30 pm and the Next Step class at 7:30 pm.
There is Healing Space every Tuesday 5:30-7:15pm during the break (except Aug 11). We encourage you to come give/receive a healing, enjoy the potluck, and hang out in the Lightwork energy set.

I began the Apprenticeship Program this spring, and since then it has been the major focus of my life. I am adjusting to the apprentice lifestyle. Often in physical terms this looks like getting to Lightwork as quickly as possible after work, taking care of any of my pressing body needs such as changing out of my muddy work clothes and changing gears. Lighting candles, sweeping, making tea and efficiently taking care of a variety of details – all timeless apprentice tasks. The energy in the classroom is set to hold space for students to let go, to become brighter, to face their core wounds with amusement. All the while I am watching it, growing my own awareness and honoured to play a part in supporting the process. I can feel my own metamorphosis taking place.
Lightwork Productions - the creative wing of Lightwork - is documenting activities at the ecovillage, collecting photos for upcoming blogs and other projects. Documenting activities by taking photos and shooting video can be a sacred experience; some of Scott’s experience with photography is described in the Photography section of the website.
The summer is a great time to support the body on the spiritual journey by reading your copy of The Journey is the Goal, or if you don’t have a copy, many of the articles, poetry and photography can be found on the Lightwork website. Often seeing the information in print form can be reassuring for the body. Lightwork Productions is always working on putting out creative material which supports you as spirit.

The Ecovillage has now completed forming a legal entity. We incorporated as a company. Even though we liked the philosophy behind being a co-op it turned out that the corporate structure was a lot more flexible and allowed us to set things up how we wanted them. We spent countless hours over the years thinking through our governance structure and share structure. It feels wonderful to have it finished – it just grounds the whole project more deeply.
Several stewards are spending most of August at the Ecovillage reveling in a BC summer. Having people staying on the land for an extended time really helps move projects forward and let's us learn more about this beautiful piece of land.

Inner light
Without focusing your attention on healing, how do you truly become
free? With awareness comes higher consciousness and freedom. In order
to be free of the cage, you must first be aware that the cage exists.
To be liberated from the story, there needs to be awareness of the
story. Lightwork is a seeing path. Not seeing which essentially is
denial can numb some of the pain, but unconsciousness does not create
the state of evolution. With true awareness comes true freedom.
