Healing Space is one of Lightwork's many services designed to support healing of self. It is a space created to support the personal healing process. Come and experience the Lightwork Energy Healing sequence.
Please note: Healing Space will be closed on Dec. 22, 2009 as we are in a meditation retreat.
Lightwork is in festive mode! We are looking forward to our annual Holiday Dinner, hosted this year by Darsi Kamay and Lightworkers have been practicing and planning for the Winter Sacred Space Celebration on Dec 4th!
The fall term for Lightwork classes will end on Fri, Dec 12th. Classes resume the week of Jan. 18, 2010. For those on the Lightwork path of course we recommend you use the winter break to deepen your personal practice – setting time aside each day to remember you as Spirit. The Lightwork Healing Space continues right through December and January with the exception of Dec 22nd.

As environmental awareness increases in the lead up to the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in December I have found it challenging to stay positive. Centuries of disconnection from the living earth has left the planet in a state of environmental crisis. I can’t help but note the Earth’s current state is a reflection of my own journey. Years of neglect and disconnection between me as Spirit and my body left my body crying out for attention and love. I have been tending to this Spirit/body relationship for the many years that I’ve been doing Lightwork and see now that my body is beginning to trust me. Can the same methods used for personal healing be extended to the Earth’s healing? When feelings of apathy arise depleting my hope for our species’ ability to turn the tide, I give myself a pep talk not to get stuck in cynicism and despair but to do all that I can do, in every moment, to live in integrity. Whether I use disposable coffee cups or not seems irrelevant when the Athabasca tar sands are pumping out tonnes of carbon each day. But it makes a difference to me to be able to do something, no matter how small, to support the Earth and her healing in each small daily decision. I trust in the ripple effect and the power of intention. By caring for the Earth I’m caring for my body. It is an act of self-love that serves the whole.

Work parties of late have focused on securing Hawk House against powerful winter winds. We’ve put in two new support posts and are in process with another two. We have been amazingly efficient, putting up 2 posts in 2 days. The process involves finding a fallen tree of appropriate girth, cutting it to the right length, transporting it to the Hawk House, stripping off the bark, drilling a hole in the end and weather proofing it. We then dig a hole a few feet deep where we want the post to go (which sometimes is a little tricky with rocks and roots around), then fill the hole with large carefully placed rocks, put in a concrete block with a foot long piece of rebar in the center then add 110 pounds of concrete to secure the block and then lift the post onto the rebar. Then we hand Keith the sledge hammer and watch admiringly as he goes to town on the top of the post to nudge it into place under the house’s beam. We bought a powerful hydraulic jack to lift the house slightly to make it possible to slip the new post into place – but it still involves a lot of muscle power to make it all happen. A very satisfying, full bodied project!
We will be having work parties over the winter break – look for January dates soon!

Clean giving and receiving is simply being able to give to another or receive from another without personal investment or expectation. It is giving without any strings attached, or receiving without feeling an obligation. This concept goes both ways. If you can give cleanly, you can receive cleanly. If you cannot give cleanly, you cannot receive cleanly. However, if someone gives you something uncleanly, you can still receive it cleanly.
Compliments are a good example in which the dynamics of clean giving and clean receiving are played out. If someone says, "Hey, you look great today", can you simply receive that or do you think, "No, I don't. My hair's a mess."? Do you start to invalidate yourself, or can you simply have the moment?
People often give gifts with strings attached. The strings or messages might be: "I'm one up on you. Now you owe me." or "I give you such fine gifts - now you are required to love me more". They are attempting to buy love. Remember, if a gift is given uncleanly, you can still receive it cleanly (cut off the strings). Giving cleanly and receiving cleanly is powerful, karmically clear, and the way of the Spiritual Warrior.
