Though the calendar tells us we are deep in the heart of winter, the feeling in the air is decidedly spring-like. The energy here at Lightwork feels similar. Growth and change are at hand.
There are still 2 months left until some of the higher levels of Lightwork classes graduate, but many of us are already feeling the inner shifts associated with this change. Completing a level at Lightwork is a time to ground into the inner shifts that have been happening, and to look ahead to where you'd like to go spiritually.
Classes support us tremendously, and stir the pot so that we can see what lies hidden at the bottom, awaiting notice. And we just keep stirring.

Scott Robinson's book The Journey is the Goal defines a growth period as: Period of time where the body is catching up to the shift or shifts that you have made as Spirit.
Being an apprentice gives me a lot of opportunity to go through the growth period process. Shifting and growing as Spirit happens as a regular part of the Apprenticeship Program. For me, this can happen in more traditional contexts, like releasing energy while sitting in meditation as lead by a teacher. I also have many opportunities to shift my energy while not sitting in meditation. "Just" making tea, printing a document, sweeping; when doing these things with a healing intention these acts become deep spiritual moments. Time for learning and shifts. And yes, these shifts cause my body to experience growth periods. It is part of my spiritual journey to "take my body along for the ride" and move through growth periods to higher levels of awareness.
Lightwork Productions - the creative wing of Lightwork - has many tasks on the go this month, and a few new ones. Darsi K is working on book production, as you can see in the productions blog. A project like the book takes many revisions to reach the level of clarity we aim for at Lightwork. Jeanine (that's me) has been working on adding more Lightwork Life videos to the website and youtube. Updated monthly, these videos showcase the Ecovillage and work to make it more visible. A new addition to the website this month is a radio interview with Scott. The interview was recorded and a slide show has been added to go along with it, check it out here.

The mild weather this January has made for pleasant work parties. So far the winter storms have been lighter too so everything has stayed in good shape. Our focus this month has been on finishing up installing new support posts under Hawk House. The project is nearing completion.
At each work party we eat lunch together. We take turns planning the menu and doing the cooking. It is really fun to cook for a big crew using ingredients from the garden where possible and mixing in a healthy dose of love. It is a treat to have a hot lunch on a cold day after using our bodies all morning. The camaraderie of a shared meal is as hearty as the meal. We practice consciousness in high performance bodies
With the danger of free will
The fall was great
But the light ones kept the spark safe
Kept the flame alive
Waiting for the age to turn
Waiting for a new dawn
The “rags of light” indeed
Greed ripping apart awareness for so long
Know that a single being can wake up at any time
Even in the darkest night the spark of Source is always with us
Sometimes buried deep
Sometimes profoundly muted
But still present
Always present
It will shine again
As Spiritual Warriors every step we take moves us into a place of greater freedom. The freedom to create whatever we want if it is from a place of highest integrity. Everything starts on an energy level first, and then becomes manifest second. The intent is to clearly access our "knowingness". We have the potential to receive all the information in the universe. All energy and information can be accessed through our higher selves/Source. We just need to clear the space so nothing is in the way of this connection. This is a huge part of the healing journey, the journey toward greater and greater spiritual freedom.
