The lyrics to Dawn’s New Light were written by Scott Robinson on a transformational journey to the Big Island of Hawaii in 1993. He was at a point of his spiritual journey were a number of major pieces needed to fall away and die; not the least of which was a major and final separation from female group mind energy. This growth period manifested as 4 days of very high fever and sweats. He was using the legendary power of, Hawaii, the Big Island to assist with a fundamental shift. At daybreak, when the fog cleared energetically, Scott emerged from his tent and walked to the edge of the cliff which overlooked the vast Pacific Ocean. To the east the sun was low in the sky shining orange light just below a dark cloud cover. He was standing looking toward this new light as cold rain came down upon him. It was a rebirth which changed his reality completely. This experience was documented by the writing of the song, Dawn’s New Light. Years later the song would be arranged and recorded with Scott Robinson, Susan Summers and Georgia Hill.
Dawn's New Light
There comes a day when fantasies get thrown away There comes a time when truths crumble to the ground There comes a moment when myths are unveiled And you feel that paradise may never be found
I remember when I was young and full of questions The world was mine to explore and find But when wisdom comes revealing the lies I long for the questions of that innocent mind
Because even great ones can tell lies And they too can stumble in the dark But one thing I know beyond a doubt Is that right now is the goal and having it, the art
Walking though dawn's new light Feeling the sting of rain Walking though dawn's new light And starting all over again
Lightwork Ecovillage
The site for our first environmentally friendly cob outbuilding has been marked. We have examined our land and we have all of the clay, rocks, sand, soil and wood we need to complete this structure. Our first Lightwork Ecovillage Environmental Building Cob workshop is on Aug. 20 - Sept. 4. If you are interested in being part of this experience let us know. Our new door is installed in the second floor of the cabin and looks and feels great.

Resistance and The Journey
Your spiritual journey is like an ongoing "excavation". As you move forward, you uncover new layers and old wounds to be healed. A particular wound may have been buried and hidden away for a very long time, controlling what you do, and your body will resist when you start to bring it up. Your body will, in fact, do whatever it can to distract you from continuing your excavation. That is where fierceness and courage comes in, allowing you to open up the wound, look at it, and heal it, in order to let it go. You can just say hello to the resistance, while staying clear with your intent. Remember to stay out of effort.
Spirit works from a place of ease. It is very difficult to meditate and do your healing if you are in effort. If you go into a meditation with a major agenda your body will most likely go into resistance to every item. Remain calm and look forward to "playing" with new thoughts and ideas. The more ease you have, the farther you can take your work. Remember that there will often be some distraction around your meditation, and that is just the ebb and the flow of the healing process. It is when you do not get to any meditations and when you can barely drag your body into a meditation space that you know there is a lot of energy and old patterns trying to get in the way of your healing work.
There is, in fact, always energy around wanting to limit people's consciousness. The most common way that “destroy energy” can get in is through a wound. As you begin to excavate, and in so doing reveal your pictures and programming, you draw more attention from that unconscious destroy energy. Rather than fighting the foreign or destroy energy, however, focus on healing the wound. If you did not have any wounds, there would not be any destroy energy in your space, it has no way in. You would be clear.
Non-resistance is incredibly powerful. If something is invalidating you, you can shift your state to non-resistance, you no longer have to play the game. This shifts the dynamic so fast. On the other hand, if you become angry with someone or some energy and go into resistance to him/her or it, the game will continue because you are playing it. That is what the resistance game is all about. If someone can get you into a state of resistance, then they own you. The Spiritual Warrior gets out of that game by shifting out of resistance, or ideally by staying neutral and not going into resistance in the first place, at the same time seeing what the creation is about and getting the learning, the healing out of it.
When you engage in a battle with someone who is invalidating you and getting you into a state of resistance, remember everyone is psychic either consciously or unconsciously and they will know exactly how to access your weaknesses. Everyone is psychic, although most people are unconscious of the fact, so the game is that the person will (unconsciously) scan your space, looking for a wound, and then that is where they will target the energy they are throwing. Blame never works as a response to such an attack. "They're wrong" never works. "How dare they" never works. It is only by shifting your reality, becoming neutral, at ease, amused, that the situation will change. You do not even have to voice anything, although you can if you so choose. The invalidation will stop, not because you told them not to do it anymore, but because they can't do it anymore. It is no longer part of the contract. You changed the game, and they will have to find somebody else to play with.
The Spiritual Warrior can use these "attacks" as proverbial "sparring partners", observing which of his/her wounds are lighting up, and then doing the healing there. If you choose to, you can go out looking for people who highlight your issues, or in other words "light you up", in order to identify your wounds. You can reverse the situation, and use it to heal yourself. As a Spiritual Warrior, you are always searching within yourself to find the wounds and to heal them. It takes courage to undertake this work, and that is why we use the term warrior. It is much easier to be in denial than to become conscious.
Most people on the planet have a limited level of awareness. Many people’s energy is controlled by an external force. They are greatly owned by someone or something. They are not free. The old term for this state is "spiritual bondage". As you become more aware, you may, at times, feel that you were happier before you knew what was really going on. As one of my teachers used to say, "The good part is that you are more aware of energy, and the bad part is that you are more aware of energy.” If you can't see it, if you are unaware of it, it is much harder to shift it. It is really important to stay with your intent and stay in a state of validation of the process.
Some people are so afraid of being owned that they will not commit to anything anywhere, and that is not doing the healing. That is just operating off the fear of being owned. But once you become more aware, then you can be in that place where you know what being owned is, and you just don't have to do that again. Learning what being owned is, is learning about what boundaries are. When you have your boundaries, when you have your space and you are owning that space, you cannot be owned. It is impossible. If you give your space away, then you can be owned very, very quickly.
Owning your personal space is an intimate relationship with yourself and is one of the greatest challenges, and one of the greatest joys. You are striving to remain whole, and not to give part or all of yourself away. You may enjoy someone and spend time with him/her, but it is important not to need the person. This type of connection takes some work because bodies want attachment. Bodies love to get married because that commitment represents a guarantee that the energy is always going to be the same. As Spirit, we know that everything is in movement all the time and anything can change at any moment. There are no guarantees. You can, of course, still get married, as long as you realize that you do not "become one" with your partner in the process. The pillars of the temple stand apart to make it strong.
Working consciously as Spirit in your body and owning your space is an incredibly powerful thing, and you can heal lifetimes of karma in minutes once you become aware. This is most likely the first lifetime you have had this level of consciousness. You had to go through an evolution, experiencing and learning from many, many past lives in order to be truly ready to do your spiritual work.
There are millions of people everywhere who are in a state of denial and who are going to perpetuate the game. They are passing it down to their kids, and there are no questions asked. It is really important to stay neutral and not judge others or get into thinking in terms of "better" or "above". Remember it is a journey. Imagine walking through a forest and over a bridge and through the fields and up a mountain. At a certain point, when you get a high enough view, you can see the whole journey, and there is a lot of clarity there. But that does not lessen the value of walking through the forest or over the bridge.
All the different parts of the journey are important, and each just as valid as the other. At a certain point, when you get to a high enough view, you will be able to see others who are still walking through that forest. Remember it is a long journey; they are just at a different place than where you are now. Everyone will eventually continue up the mountain. The spiritual being will keep on creating situations to get the body to a new level of consciousness because the being is always pushing the cutting edge. The being's goal is to become more conscious, this is happening for all, every step of the way to some degree.
